Aalbaek gl. Kro

The old inn from 1818 has recently been renovated with 58 modern and smokeless double rooms. All of which with bath - toilet - TV and 6 hoursfree internet per stay. In most rooms there is the possibility of an extra bed. It takes approximately 10 mins walk to the lovely beaches at Kattegat and some of Denmarks most beautifully situated 18-hole golf courses are located within a radius of a few kilometres. For the children there are a playground and lots of green areas and in the garden the guests have two petanque courses at their disposal. Right on the top of Jutland not far from where the land meets the two seas on Skagens Gren the holiday town Aalbaek is situated. Approximately halfway between Frederikshavn and Skagen. The inn in Aalbaek dates way back to 1818 when the innkeeper also supported himself by fishing and farming. Aalbaek was at that time a small fishing hamlet and the idyll and tranquillity are intact. The authentic fishing village atmosphere with the cosy small streets and the harbour is simply the perfect setting for splendid holidays. Today Aalbaek gl. Kro is owned by Ulla Mosich who fell in love with the place when she came here for the fist time in 1984. She decided that she would like to be an innkeeper in Aalbaek and she has never regretted this decision. The location of Aalbaek gl. Kro is namely unique as it is situated close to Skagen and the sea and golf courses and many other experiences. But there is absolutely no harm in idling and just going for a walk along the beach or enjoying the nature she says. The beautiful old inn has been thoroughly renovated in recent years and today it is a very fine example of modern inn culture combining good food and comfortable rooms. Aalbaek gl. Kro is an ideal place for a holiday in a cosy and relaxed atmosphere. In the taproom they serve good Danish courses such as an omelette with bacon and slices of roasted pork with parsley sauce. You can also enjoy the chefs menu with tree exquisite courses.
