Hotel Torre S. Angelo

The hotel Torre S. Angelo, 4 stars luxury, was born in 1962 but the building is an old castle which goes back to the Medieval Age, in fact it was erected in 600 A.D. on the ruins of Catullo s Villa, a famous Roman poet. From 600 to 1700 it was converted into a Monastery of the Olivetani monks, religious warriors defended the town of Tivoli. In 1700 princes Massimo established themselves here and the Torre S. Angelo become their summer residence. In 1962 they transformed the building into a hotel and in 1994 it was completely restructured.The hotel is situated 800 Mt from Tivoli*s historical centre and with its privileged position it dominates the town and all the Anienes countryside till Rome. It has 70 hectares of private park where it is possible to make excursion and to go horseback riding Tivoli so offers the possibility to visit its famous Villas: Villa D*Este with its wonderful fountains; the Emperor Adriano*s Villa famous for the magnificence of its architecture *monumental buildings, ruins, theatres and temples*. Our hotel has* 35 rooms *24 standard rooms, 6 junior suites, 4 suites and 1 for disabled persons*.
