CHINA NATIONAL MUSEUM

FORBIDDEN CITY
Lying at the centre of Beijing, the Forbidden City, called Gu Gong, in Chinese, was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Now known as the Palace Museum, it is to the north of Tiananmen Square.
