A few miles from the center of Rome immersed in green hills stands a castle that has watched the centuries pass. La Castelluccia was initially built on the remains of a Roman villa. In its eight hundred years of history this splendid fortified edifice at the gates of ancient Rome was understandably coveted by the numerous families into whose hands it fell. Completely refurbished and restored to its ancient splendor and converted into a hotel residence Castello della Castelluccia offers the opportunity of a stay in the greatest of luxury surrounded by artworks many of which date from the 16th century and cosseted by the most sophisticated forms of comfort. The 24 rooms are all different and bear the names of the families who lived in the castle and some of their illustrious guests.
