There is a small hotel and its nestled along a curve of the Connecticut coastline where Long Island Sound is its widest and the view seems to stretch to infinity. The Hotel dates back to 1800 when it was a boarding house for the shipbuilders during the great whaling days. During its glorious history the hotel has undergone many renovations and enhancements but one thing has remained constant The magnificent location. During our most recent enhancement programs the winter of 2006 to 2007 we focused on in room amenities and the special touches to make our guests comfortable. Each of our 31 rooms and 4 magnificent suites has a direct water view and most offer a balcony overlooking the beach. The rooms are large and airy with contemporary furnishings to complement the Victorian architecture. All beds are fitted with soft high count 100 pct Egyptian cotton sheets. Ralph Lauren feather pillows and comfortable thermal cotton blankets. The bathrooms contain 100 pct Country Cotton towels and Rusk bath products. All rooms have cable television and wireless internet service. Continental breakfast is served every morning in our restaurant lounge. From there it is but a few steps to the beach and the days activities. There is no place like the Madison Beach hotel for weekend getaways or lengthy sojourns.
