It passed through the hands of various members of the same family for over 200 years. Its previous owners included Thomas Gwillim who was ADC to General Wolfe at the battle of Quebec and John Graves Simcoe who was the 1st Govenor General of Upper Canada and founder of the City of Toronto. You can even see a statue of him in Toronto if you visit there. Nearby there is an enclosure on the graves of the family and local historians can seep you off your feet with the information they can part with on a local Kingfisher crusie down the River Wye.A place of great tourism in the UK there is much to do in the area capturing Gloucestershire Herefordshire and South and West Wales. The Old Court is supplied by a farmer who has been breeding and farming pedigree Herefordshire cattle for over 100 years.
