The 5 star Riad El Ghalia is a princely palace of the 19th century located in the heart of the old medinas Andalusian district. This palace belongs to the well known Fassi family. The downtown area is about 3 km from the riad. The superb guest rooms and suites have a luxurious oriental style with the spirit of the former occupants still present in this noble; charming and very comfortable house. All our 12 rooms open out onto the huge central courtyard which is exquisitely furnished with Moroccan artifacts. We offer a variety of different room styles each named after ancestors of the family who still own and run the Hotel. We have different facilities including lounge areas; Internet access and traditional hammam for your disposition. Faithful to its culinary tradition this palace has a well known restaurant Dar Tajine with a variety of dishes of great finesse serving true Fassi cooking the most famous in Morocco cuisines. From our terrace you will overlook the old city where just a simple glance will be breathtaking. The view over the Medina and its many minarets is indeed impregnable in particular with the sunset in the back when the calls of the prayers of the muezzins resound. You will be able to profit from it while enjoying and celebrating the gastronomy of Fez during lunch or dinner or by tasting a mint tea or an aperitif at any time of the day. We open to you our patio which is covered and heated in the winter or for major events or where you can organize a dinner or company meeting or an evening of official reception. Parking is 4 minutes from the hotel at a cost of 2 EUR per night. Additional Information; Children age 2 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Children age 3-12 pay 25 EUR per child per night. Children over this age will be considered an adult.
