RELAIS MONTEMARINO was crafted out of the painstaking renovation of an old stone farmhouse formerly known as *cascina Bagnolo* Farm House. Particular attention was paid during the refurbishment to maintaining the characteristics of the four different periods in which it was originally built. Detached from the main building, at the bottom of the courtyard there is a large portico beneath what was once a drying room, here today you find the Breakfast room. RELAIS MONTEMARINO offers accomodation in 27 rooms, which are tastefully and imaginatively furnished in keeping with the traditions of LANGA of old; in fact, each room actually features details from the past. Borgomale is one of the 21 villages that make-up the UPPER LANGA, an area of higher more rugged hills where vineyards - mostly planted with DOLCETTO - alternate with chestnut woods, hazelnut groves and pastureland. How to reach RELAIS MONTEMARINO from ALBA from Piazza Savona *the square with the fountain, at the end of the main street* head straight out of town on Corso Italia, Corso Langhe, Corso Cortemilia. Follow this road *SP 429* towards Manera for about 10 km, until you see a signpost for the Hotel to the left. The Hotel is easy to see from the road. How to get to ALBA from TORINO Take the A21 Torino-Piacenza motorway, exit at Santena and follow the signposts for Poirino, Pralormo, Monta, Canale and finally ALBA. How to get ALBA from MILANO Take the A7 Milano-Genova motorway as far as Tortona; then switch to the A21 Piacenza-Torino, exit at Asti-est and follow the signposts for ALBA.
