Pashan Garh, Panna

1) About Panna National Park: Panna is situated in the Vindhya Hill range and spreads over Panna and Chhatarpur districts in the northern part of Madhya Pradesh. The park is situated just 31 km from the world famous Khajuraho temples and is located on the banks of the River Ken. The park has deep ravines, cascading waterfalls and thick teak forests. It is home to the tiger, leopard, wolf, hyena, jackal and the sloth bear. The reserve is also well known for sightings of nilgai, sambar, chital, wild boar and the Indian crocodile. 2) About Pashan Garh: The lodge comprises of a cluster of stone cottages on a small hill with magnificent views over the forest and a large nearby waterhole which has been host to numerous tiger and antelope sightings. This Lodge draws inspiration from the dry-packed stone houses of the Panna region. The guest areas are designed in the traditional Indian Haveli design with a spacious central courtyard. The lodge features 12 stone cottages with a central guest area, showcasing fabulous leather furniture made in Delhi. 3) Location: The lodge is located only 31 kms or a 1.5 hour drive from Khajuraho airport. Guests need to fly from Delhi to Khajuraho(Jet Airways)followed by a 1.5 hour chauffeured road transfer to the lodge. 4) The Taj Safaris Experience: As part of the exclusive wildlife experience our guests can enjoy twice a day jungle safaris in a specially designed open air safari vehicle with CC Africa trained naturalists, tiger viewing on elephant back, guided nature walks, cultural walks, birdwatching, and picnics in nearby wooded areas. Guests will also be able to visit the world famous Khajuraho temples which is a short 45 mins drive from the lodge. 5) Children are welcome. Regretfully, children 5 years and younger cannot participate in the regular game drives. Childminders can be arranged at an additional cost. Children aged 6 to 12 years are accommodated on game drives at the lodge managers discretion.
