The name of the Restaurant Ai Cappuccini refers to Capuchin friars. The ambience is elegant, with ample tables, Frau arm chairs, antique furniture and paintings. Tables are set up with silver and Rosenthal porcelain. The restaurant was opened in 1990 together with the hotel and seats 60 people, with other adjacent smaller rooms for private dining. In the Summer we often serve dinner in the open under the stars. Since we have a very diversified clientele, the menu offerings range from dishes of the Umbrian tradition revisited with lightness to domestic and international dishes. The whole menu is Mediterranean. The menu is changed 4 times a year. In addition, we have a special of the day and clients can order at all times meat, fish or vegetables cooked on the grill, since the fireplace in the kitchen is always burning. Pasta is all home-made. The majority of our meat comes from our own farm in Val di Chiana. Actually, the tagliata di manzo (beefsteak lightly cooked in the oven and then sliced) is one of our clients favourite dishes. We use extra-virgin oil produced locally and the cheese comes from a well known cheese factory in Scheggia. Gubbio is also noted for its truffles.The Wine List includes over 300 labels from Umbria, all Italian Regions and other countries.We have a dessert list with 10 different choices and a number of dessert wines by the glass.

3) From the Tyrrhenian regions , after having left the A1 motorway at Orte exit, take the way to Perugia-Cesena ( E45 freeway ). Pass Perugia and follow Cesena direction until Bosco exit ( 28 km.) or Umbertide-Gubbio exit ( 25 km, itinerary recommended ).4) From the Adriatic regions, leave the A14 motorway at Ancona Nord exit, and follow Fabriano direction. Pass Fabriano (40 Km.) and follow the main road to Gubbio.

Coming from the North:1) From the Adriatic regions , visitors can get to Gubbio driving along the A14 motorway until Fano exit, and then following Rome direction ( 78 km ), or leaving the motorway at Cesena Nord exit, continuing on the E45 freeway until Gubbio exit and then following the main road for about 25 km.2) From the Tyrrhenian regions ( itinerary recommended only to visitors coming from Tuscany and Liguria), after having left the A1 motorway at Valdichiana exit ( not Arezzo exit ) follow Perugia direction at the motorway ring-road and then on the E45 freeway.
