Marconi

Next to Rialto Bridge, the Hotel Marconi is located in the Riva del Vin (the Wine quayside, an area renown for its "ostarie", Venetian pubs). In the 30s the building, which at that time housed a pub, become one of the few exclusive hotels in Venice. The area, which has been the commercial center of the city since the 11th-12th century, today houses a bustling and busy-market and shopping center, which attracts visitors and locals.
