Davide Brovelli was given the keys to the cuisine of Il Sole di Ranco by his father, Carlo. This family heritage was create more than 150 years ago on the banks of Lake Maggiore (which you can explore in a private boat). Davide?s ?touch?: a fusion of regional specialties like risotto alla milanese and audacious recipes where fish from the Lake are the star performers - sturgeon cooked in hay perfumed with ginger and ginseng, smoked trout with brazed leeks, capers and confit lemons? Sunshine cuisine to be savoured under the arbours whilst taking in the exquisite panorama.

On leaving Malpensa Airport- follow gree road signs for the motorway A8- at the entrance for the motorway follow the directions for Varese/Gravellona Toce. Once you reach the Varese/Gravellona Toce Junction follow left for Gravellona Toce and after few kilometers take exit in Sesto Calende. Out of the motorway always follow for Sesto Calende- at the sixth traffic light turn left and pass underneath the iron bridge heading for Angera. Go throught Angera and proceed along the road skirting the lake- Il Sole Di Ranco is at the end of this road about 4 km from Angera. Park your car in the Ristorante Sole parking area and go to the reception- our porter will take care of your luggage.
