We specialize in smaller events of up to 20 rooms but given adequate notice we are able to devote the whole hotel to larger events. Many clients find that by combining business sessions with outdoor activities, the event can be made both more memorable and more effective for its purpose of education, training, decision-making or team-building.

Our fully licensed restaurant is renowned for our Chef*s creative use of national and international produce for our a la Carte menu and daily specials. Reservations are necessary. Dinner hours are from 6pm to 9pm. The restaurant is not open for lunch except for special bookings. Packed lunches are available if ordered the night before. Breakfast is served in the restaurant from 7.00am to 9.30am with continental and cooked breakfasts available.

How to get:
By CAR- The Skotel is conveniently accessible by road for anyone travelling between Auckland and Wellington. From state highway 1, turn off at Turangi or from State Highway 4, turn off at National Park. By TRAIN- The Auckland-Wellington express trains *The Overlander* and *The Northerner* stop at National Park and our reception can arrange for you to be collected at the station which is at National Park township, about 15 kms from the Skotel. By BUS- There are also bus connections that will bring you the Whakapapa Village. Inter City travels from Auckland to Wellington and stops at Turangi and from there Alpine Scenic Transport has a bus link to the Whakapapa Village. By PLANE- Mountainair are available for charter from Auckland and other cities to their airport about 7km from the Skotel.
