There are many reasons why Nuembrecht is worth a visit... just over half an hour from Cologne and Dortmund you will find beautiful rolling hills with rambling forests and meadows and many sign-posted paths and hiking routes. Here you can enjoy the scenic views of cattle grazing contently on pastures and numerous horses. You can also enjoy the invigorating fresh air. Nuembrecht belongs to the few places in Germany who have been awarded the Premium Class distinction as a climatic spa town. If you take a tour of Nuembrecht or even if you are just simply out and about in Nuembrecht, you will come across the world-famous Homburg Castle, spa gardens with nature trail and our sound trail. Visit Eckenhagen Ape Park and Aviary, the stalactite caves in Wiehl, the Axis, Wheel and Car Museum in Wiehl, the Railway Museum in Dieringhausen and much more. A few words about Nuembrecht: the village of Nuembrecht covers an area of 72 km2 in the south of the region of Bergen. The area includes around 90 villages and approx. 17,000 inhabitants; of which 6,000 live in Nuembrecht. The villages history stretches back to the first century AD, and was first cited in 1131 AD. The upper Bergian stagecoach, which since 1973 regularly goes back and forth between Nuembrecht and Wiehl, offers space for 7 persons and is a particular attraction. We are happy to book you a stagecoach ride exclusively for your group trip leaving from our hotel and arriving back here. The Axis, Wheel and Car Museum in Wiehl since 1952 the BPW Bergische Achsen KG in Wiehl runs a works museum, where, among other things, approximately 5,500 years of carriage production and manufacturing history is on display. On request the museum regularly organises blacksmith and saddler demonstrations. we are happy to organise private tours for small groups. In the museum you will find, among other things, 2,000 - 4,000 year old ceramic and bronze models of covered wagons and chariots. There is a collection of antique as well as modern coins and medals printed with images of carriages. Graphic prints detailing the history of carriage building from the 16th-20th Centuries. Childrens carriages, model carriages, coaches and agricultural trailers from the 17th-20th Century and over 500 tools and machines used by cartwrights, blacksmiths and saddlers.

Coming from Cologne or Olpe take the A4 motorway leaving at the Gummersbach exit. Then continue on the K52/L302 towards Wiehl and Nuembrecht. Pass through Bierenbachtal and after approx. 2 km leave the Wiehler Strasse L320 and turn left into the Schlossstrasse. Follow this road for 1.23 km. You will then pass by the entrance to Nuembrecht. Continue on the Schlossstrasse, following this road for 406 m. Leave the Schlossstrasse and turn left onto the main street Hauptstrasse. Follow this road for 611 m. Leave the main street Hauptstrasse and turn left into the Meta-Herz-Strasse. Continue on this road for 106 m. Leave the Meta-Herz-Strasse and continue straight onto the Alte Poststrasse. Follow this road for 153 m. Leave the Alte Poststrasse and turn left onto the Dr.-Schild-Strasse L95. Follow this road for 78 m. Leave the Dr.-Schild-Strasse L95 and turn right into the Bitzenweg. Right by the junction you will find the entrance to the hotel car park. After a distance of 14.09 km and a journey time of 21 minutes, you will arrive at your destination, the Bitzenweg in Nuembrecht.
