Before he became Emperor/ Napoleon used to live in his private mansion/ also called -Hotel Particulier-/ in the former Chantereine Street that became the Victory Street December 28 1797 after Napoleons victory in Italy and the signature of the Campo Formio treaty. The Hotel Saint-Louis Opera was built in the former gardens of Josephine and Napoleons private mansion.
