Make time to stop by the clubs and bars along Beale Street that have helped carve out Memphis reputation as a city full of music and nightlife. Another well-known attraction is the Civil Rights Museum, located at the Lorraine Motel. This is the location where Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated, providing an ideal opportunity to reflect upon and to educate young people about our history.
Memphis also has a ton to offer sports lovers. The beloved Redbirds baseball team plays at AutoZone Park, which is a great way to soak up the local culture. The city hosts state baseball tournaments and footballs Liberty Bowl and often plays host for games during March Madness at the University of Memphis. Memphis is full of colleges and universities, making it a true college town.
