The Wheal Tor Hotel is sited in two and a half acres of woodland on the rugged slopes of Caradon Hill. It is the Highest Inn in Cornwall set in this remote location on the eastern edge of Bodmin Moor. From here there are magnificent views towards both Dartmoor to the east and the Cornish coastlines to the south and west. The cosy bar with its log burner and non-smoking restaurant are popular with the locals. These are situated in the main house and offer the most spectacular views over Bodmin moor. We offer guests a welcoming haven with a varied menu and a well stocked bar with excellent wines and real ales set in a friendly and relaxing environment. Our rooms open directly into the wooded grounds and at night not only can you spot a variety of wildlife but with the lack of street lights you can gaze at the stars...so remember to bring your binoculars A credit card is required as a guarantee.If cancelation notification is less than three full days before the booking then the full amount is payable. Please note apart from the Wheal Tor Inn bar this is a non smoking hotel. Pets accepted by prior arrangment only and cannot be accomodated if not pre-booked.A small surcharge applies. The Wheal Tor Inn is closed on Monday nights in the Winter season (Oct1st till March 1st) and as such the bar and restaurant will be closed and not accessible however Supper Trays can be arranged for your room if requested prior to arrival.
