The Best Western Cascade Inn was built in the style of an Old Western-style two story building (as is the whole town) right on the Methow River which winds through the valley all the way to join the Columbia River at Pateros. The Best Western Cascade Inn is located in the North Cascade National Park with four other national parks just minutes away. The views from the hotel include both the valley and the numerous mountains that surround us. The summer activities here are endless which include horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking and the river rafting in the spring and summer is a special treat. The fishing and hunting bring people from all over to this area. We have hot air balloon rides that leave every morning from our parking lot area. They float down the valley for a spectacular ride and the view is breathtaking. There are local backpacking trips by horse or on foot. Our winter sports include many, many cross-country ski trails, one starting right next to the Best Western Cascade Inn. There is downhill skiing just 20 minutes away and also we have helicopter skiing in the area. There are hundreds and hundreds of miles of snowmobiling through out the area and of course, for the hearty and brave we have ice fishing. Special events include: rodeos, Rhythm & Blue Festival, 49er Days, Barn Dances, Bike Races, Omak Stampede, Antique Auto Rally and many others. Points of interest include: Smoker Jumpers Base, Fish Hatchery Museum, Forest Service Station and The Sweet Shop. Most important: "shopping", the shops in town are great for souvenirs and gifts to take home from The Blacksmith Shop or the Pottery Shop or The Sports Shop or maybe the Trading Post or one of the galleries.
