This beautiful country house hotel in Newton Stewart is steeped in history, originally the home of the Heron family who counted Robert Burns amongst their friends. Burns was often a visitor to Kirroughtree House and he was know to sit at the staircase and recite his poems to the family. Located close to Galloway Forest Park, this elegant house is a haven of calm and tranquility both inside and out. Each of our 17 bedrooms are indiviual and traditionally decorated, from generous standard rooms through to larger deluxe rooms, all are spaciaous with their own sitting areas.
