The Metropole ESPA Monte-Carlo, the only ESPA in France, has reopened its
doors to hotel guests and members.
The Karl Lagerfeld designed outside premises including the pool, terrace,
gardens has reopened. One of the key features will be a stunning piece of
art by Karl Lagerfeld. The breathtaking black and white mural, made of 18
glass panels and created exclusively for the hotel by the world-renowned
fashion designer, will retrace the epic journey home of Ulysses, as depicted
in Homer s Odyssey. This will be one of the most exciting and exclusive

In 1886, the Monte-Carlo Hotel Company Ltd built the Hotel Metropole on land
which previously belonged to Pope Leon XIII. Very soon the most demanding
international clientele was won over by the unostentatious luxury of this
quiet hotel built during the Belle Epoque, in the 19th Century. In 2004, the
Metropole Palace sold the hotel to its successor. The Hotel Metropole Monte-
