The dining room at North Bend is exceptional and features theme evenings, Sunday buffets, and Chef Ingel?s famous desserts. The lodge features a relaxing sitting room with a large stone fireplace, meeting and banquet rooms and an accessible guest elevator. The park also offers a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, gift shop, camping and tennis courts. North Bend's nine deluxe vacation cabins are located atop a secluded ridge in a white pine forest. Constructed of solid cedar, the cabins offer fireplaces, central heat and air, telephone, and two, three, and four bedrooms. The cabins are completely equipped for housekeeping. Guests need only to supply food and personal items. North Bend has a 305-acre recreational lake with a boat ramp, handicapped accessible fishing pier, and other fishing access points. Jon boats, kayaks, and canoe rentals are available. North Bend also features the 72 mile North Bend Rail Trail, a multi-use recreational trail designed for hiking, biking and horseback riding. The rail trail runs along the old B & O Railroad bed from Parkersburg, WV to Wolf Summit, near Clarksburg, WV. The trail is part of the 5,500 mile coast to coast American Discovery Trail. The trail passes through 13 tunnels and crosses 36 bridges and is easily accessible from Interstates 77 and 79. The trail parallels US Route 50. Bike rentals are available.
