In 1884, the Venetian nobleman Count Giulio Rocca built a sumptuous mansion on the banks of river Brenta. Villa Ducale was made upon the remains of a more ancient manor-house─dating seventeenth Century─to which the beautiful park, its innumerable statues and the private chapel belonged. Today, Villa Ducale is one of the most renowned Hotels and Restaurants in the Venetian province. The mansion, which underwent a careful restoration in the beginning of the Nineties, has got back to its original splendour: the floorsi?? brightness, the frescosi?? colours and the stuccosi?? shape have been rediscoveredi??light, shining from the majestic chandeliers, reflects itself into the precious Murano-glass mirrors.
