The Southbourne Villa is a gracious 19th Century detached Victorian Villa with all modern comforts including full central heating and double glazing and is your ideal choice for both business and pleasure. Our substantially refurbished bedrooms provide todays discerning guest with 21st Century facilities within quality surroundings. Our prime considerations are guest comfort, relaxation and service. We offer free wireless broadband internet access and also offer free use of a wireless laptop for dedicated guest use should you wish to check emails etc. There are also fax / office facilities including post, photocopying and laminating services for all guests as well as the busy business traveller.(subject to availability) All guest bedrooms offer remote control 30 channel digital television with audio channels and DVD/CD player as well as an alarm clock radio and a host of complementary toiletries and accessories. For your total relaxation we have an open air garden 'Hot Tub Spa', for that essential hot water massage, set in an illuminated sun deck with patio heaters and oak furniture, screened with illuminated Torbay Palms and other exotic plant species.(The Hot Tub is open daily from April until September) This oasis of relaxation adjoins the large patio area with bistro tables and chairs and sun beds screened by Torbay Palms. The Southbourne Villa has a large spacious dining room and separate but adjacent fully licensed bar on the ground floor serving draught lager & bitter. We also carry a very extensive range of wines, spirits and liqueurs at very competitive prices. On a warm day or evening our guests often enjoy their refreshments 'al fresco' as you can access the patio,sundeck and terrace directly from the lounge bar. Complementary tea and coffee is served upon arrival and throughout the day, upon request and is served in the lounge bar, or on the sun terrace. For your comfort and safety, The Southbourne Villa is a non-smoking establishment therefore smoking is not permitted inside the building. PLEASE NOTE : WE DO NOT ACCEPT LATE ARRIVALS / CHECK-INS AFTER 22.30 WE DO NOT ACCOMMODATE UNDER 18's or STAG / HEN / WEDDING PARTIES Ample private parking is provided within the grounds of The Southbourne Villa,including a designated disabled parking bay. DEPOSITS. To guarantee your reservation a credit or debit card number is required. A deposit equal to the cost of your first nights accomodation will be charged against the card when the hotel receives the reservation. Upon receipt of this reservation,the deposit becomes non refundable. PLEASE NOTE: BETWEEN 1ST JULY AND 8TH SEPTEMBER THERE ARE MINIMUM NIGHTS STAY REQUIREMENTS. BANK HOLIDAY WEEKENDS ARE SUBJECT TO A MINIMUM STAY OF THREE NIGHTS BASED ON TWO PERSONS SHARING A DOUBLE OR TWIN EN SUITE ROOM. CANCELLATIONS Your cancellation is effective from the date we receive notification from you. Cancellation charges are as follows : Over 60 days you will lose your deposit. 60 days to 30 days = 30% of total booking charged. 30 days to 15 days = 50% of total booking charged. 15 days to 1 day = 100% of total booking charged. On reservation day,late arrivals,no show or early departure,100% of quoted rate will be charged for the period cancelled. If we are able to re-let the accommodation for the entirety of the period booked or part thereof,we will credit the cancellation fee on your booking for those days that we were able to re-let. We recommend that you take up holiday cancellation insurance to protect yourself against unforeseen circumstances.Contact us for details. ARRIVAL. Accommodation accounts are payable in full on arrival,please remember you will need your PIN number if paying by credit or debit card. If entire account is to be by cheque it must be with a cheque guarantee card or be sent in advance in time to clear prior to arrival.(minimum of 7 working days) Early arrivals may use the car parking facilities of the Southbourne Villa and leave luggage with reception. Unless by prior arrangement,your room will be available from 3.00pm. DEPARTURE Rooms are to be vacated by 10.00am. Luggage may be left with and stored at reception,if you wish to stay a while longer in Torquay. GENERAL INFORMATION. We reserve the right to refuse to accomodate any person(s) who,in our opinion is not a suitable guest.In these rare and unusual instances all accommodation charges will be refunded in full to the guest. We also reserve the right to discontinue to accommodate any person(s) who, in the opinion of the hotel management,behaves in a manner considered to be prejudicial to the comfort and well-being of other guests or damages property of other guests or the hotel.Any damages must be paid for by that guest. In this situation no accommodation refund will be payable. GROUP BOOKINGS. In order to maintain a peaceful and tranquil environment,we do not cater for 'UNDER 18's' nor for 'STAG / HEN / WEDDING PARTIES'. If you book several rooms,we would kindly expect you to provide further information about the nature of your reservation and group. Any group / multiple booking who has booked our Hotel via the internet and has failed to inform the hotel management that they are a multiple booking or have failed to provide information of the nature of the group in advance of arrival will be turned away and no refund will be made.
