Ancient building (185 m2) dating back to 1300 created from the ancient tower of a defence fortress of Castruccio Castracani in one of the most significant medieval hamlets in the municipality of Capannoni. The property is situated on a hill (160 m a.s.l.) between the two cities of art of Lucca (15 km), famous for its old city walls and for the antique market every 3rd Sunday of the month, and Pisa (25 km). The accommodation, tastefully restored and furnished by the owners who respected as much as possible the ancient stone structure, preserving all of the charm of the wooden ceiling beams and the terracotta floors and ceilings. The accommodation has a small terrace for dining outdoors while enjoying a broad view of the plain and the surrounding woods. Cleaning fee of euro 25 and deposit of euro 300 required at check-in to be paid in cash only. Hot water, heating and electricity charges are based upon usage and paid at the time of check-out. No after hours check-in is available. Lucca - a city of Ligurian-Etruscan origins, enclosed by a circle of 16th-century walls, with its palaces, churches, towers and gardens is a small enchanted world. From the charming garden on top of the tower of Palazzo Guinigi there is a splendid view of the city.
