At the beginning of the 13th century Majorca was conquered by King Jaime I, overthrowing its Arab rulers. The king divided the lands among the nobles who had supported him. One of these territories was the estate of Monnaber, the Arab word for ?Hill of Flowers?. The Monnaber Nou hotel is a restored Majorcan Manor farmhouse of 556 acres, and blends its original character and heritage with modern facilities; the 25 air-conditioned and heated rooms, suites and apartments all have en-suite fully-fitted bathrooms, a mini-bar and satellite TV. The hotel is located in the foothills of the glorious Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range, with woods and forest full of holm-oaks, ancient olive trees, carobs, almond and pine trees.
