Fortingall Hotel is a haven of peace and elegance. The building itself dates back to the 17th century, with most of the main building works being carried out just over one hundred years ago. Located amongst some of the most beautiful countryside in Scotland it is an excellent location to enjoy the best of the Highlands and Highland hospitality. Under two hours from both Glasgow and Edinburgh it is a superb base for your Scottish holiday of a short break. The cuisine, served in the delightful restaurant, is superb, with local venison and salmon often on offer on our daily changing restaurant menu. A fine wine list complements the locally sourced produce, suppers are also available in our cocktail bar. Boasting excellent facilities the hotel is ideally suited to the traveller in need of a relaxing base. Our well stocked bar has a log fire, and a charming resident's lounge. In the summer, speciality highland Victorian cream teas are served on the hotel's lawns. A combination of generous opening times and reasonable tariff allow for an enjoyable break all year round. As you may know a five course daily changing dinner menu is available in our restaurant. The menu is set by the chef early in the day, to accommodate the bookings we have at that time, it is therefore not possible to fit extra diners in on the day. If you plan to dine with us, we would ask that you make a reservation before arrival.
