It is now run as a comfortable private hotel. Fan and Alan know how to make their guests feel 'extra special' with their friendly but professional touch. Both have extensive international hospitality experience. The AA has awarded Beaumont House 4 red diamonds for 2006, placing it in the top 10% of 4 diamond establishments. The RAC has made two awards for the same period. Their sparkling diamond for good housekeeping and a warm welcome award, which we think, speaks for itself. Beaumont House was built in the 1850s in the Regency period of Cheltenham as a private house / villa. It was converted to a hotel in the 1980s. The hotel has 16 bedrooms, all en suite, is family run in a relaxed friendly style with the emphasis on warmth, peace and comfort; it is set in beautiful gardens where drinks may be enjoyed on summer evenings; there is ample car parking space. Our comfortable lounge is the perfect place to relax with a good novel, enjoy a cappuccino or a drink from our Trust Bar before going out for dinner. There are excellent restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. WORK WILL COMMENCE ON 7th November, to be completed in February 2006, to create a business floor on our top floor. This new facility giving business persons a better alternative to the chain hotel. All these rooms will have a complimentary broadband connection facility, as well as full bathrooms ensuite with power showers. Externally the hotel will be decorated and improved. These works may impact your stay as scaffolding will be required - although all works will be carried out externally with the top floor being sealed off from the rest of the hotel. To add value to your stay, guests are entitled to complimentary entrance to LA FITNESS Cheltenham - great swimming pool and gym. AS A POLICY, RESERVATIONS MADE MORE THAN 6 MONTHS IN ADVANCE WILL NOT BE HONOURED UNLESS YOU RECEIVE A PERSONAL TELEPHONE AND WRITTEN CONFIRMATION FROM US. A credit card is required as a guarantee. Whilst we accept debit cards for payment on departure, if these are used at the time of booking [instead of a valid credit card], one nights' accommodation charge will be debited 5 days before arrival. Should guests cancel 48 hours or more before arrival, a full refund will be given. If the booking is not cancelled outside of the cancellation notice period, your credit card will be charged with the average cost of one night of the booking. For the comfort of all guests, Beaumont House has a no smoking policy throughout the premises. Children over the age of 10 are welcome during the week. Children of any age are welcome at weekends - however, please note, cots and high chairs are not available at the hotel.
