The hotel originated from a farmhouse in the 1600s and has been continuously developed over the years to the present establishment. One of the hotel's unique features is that whilst situated on the East Coast it faces due west overlooking the Wash, one of the largest estuaries in Britain, giving guest a perfect view of Norfolk sunsets. The Le Strange Arms Hotel is Situated in the lovely village of Old Hunstanton. The hotels grounds stretch down to the seashore to one of the finest beaches on the Norfolk coast. The famous Hunstanton championship golf course is within 400 yards of the hotel and with numerous other fine courses within a few miles, golf parties are welcome at the hotel. Excellent shopping facilities are available, the market town of King's Lynn and numerous attractions such as Norfolk Lavender and Sandringham house are situated within 30 minute drive. Old Hunstanton is midway between RSPB Titchwell and RSPB Snettisham (6 miles). The hotel has close links with visitors centre at Titchwell, and has established itself as one of the leading hotels for bird watching groups in the area. Nearer at hand, across the road from the hotel is the Le Strange Old Barns, Antiques, Arts & Crafts Centre, which is believed to be the largest of its kind in Norfolk.
