With its beginnings dating back to the 14th century, the Old Vicarage Hotel must certainly have a few stories to tell. Today the property retains much of its original character and yet offers all of the modern conveniences you'd expect from a hotel in the 21st century. Our 14 guest bedrooms are all en-suite and have direct dial telephones with modem ports for the busy business traveller. Most of our guest bedrooms are non-smoking (From 1st January 2006 all rooms will be non-smoking). On-site parking is also available. In Bridgwater town there are a number of good restaurants, pubs and plenty of shopping. Although we operate on a mainly bed and breakfast basis, the Old Vicarage operates its own restaurant from Thursday to Saturday offering local produce and home cooking. Our daytime cafГ© is open 6 days a week from 10am to 6pm. Bridgwater is perfectly situated near junction 23 & 24 of the M5 motorway which is ideal for those travelling on business. The town is also central to all of Somersets most famous attractions such as Wells cathedral, Cheddar Gorge, Exmoor National Park, Dunster castle and much much more. As a smaller property we do our best to offer most of the facilities you will find in a larger hotel; however please read the hotel policies to ensure that we are able to meet your individual requirements. ***IMPORTANT INFORMATION***: - ***CANCELLATION POLICY***: -- We require three days notice of cancellation or modification of your reservation. A charge equal to one night's accommodation will be made where less than three days notice is given. ***CHECK-IN TIMES***: -- We are able to accept arrivals any time from 3:30pm up until 10:30pm. We regret that we are unable to accept reservations where guests wish to arrive later than 10:30pm as we do not have night staff. ***SMOKING POLICY***: -- Although guests may request smoking or non-smoking rooms, the hotel does not guarantee specific availability of such a request. If such a guarantee is required, please state this in the 'special request' section of the reservation and await direct confirmation from the hotel. NOTE: From 1st January 2006, a non-smoking policy will be introduced throughout the property. After this date all rooms and public areas will be non-smoking. ***CHILDREN***: -- A charge is made for all guests including children, toddlers, infants or babies of all ages. If a child is not declared on the reservation you will either be charged our additional child rate of 17.50 or where the room is not suitable for an extra person, then we will enforce the room maximum and charge a full cancellation fee if the reservation is subsequently cancelled.
