 Один из самых романтичных городов мира, Венеция, стала настоящей туристической Меккой. Туристов здесь много больше, чем жителей, а большая часть венецианцев работает в индустрии туризма. Одним из символов Венеции является Дворец Дожей. Сегодня же многие старинные палаццо Венеции превратились в отели. Что же влечет сюда путешественников? Прежде всего, Венеция знаменита своими каналами - город расположен на 117 островах, а через его 150 каналов построено более 400 мостов. Сердце Венеции - площадь Сан Марко, но поскольку это также самая низкая часть города, при наводнениях именно площадь затапливает чаще всего. Венеция - город на воде, но «высокая вода» или acqua alta как говорят итальянцы, приходит, в основном в октябре и ноябре. Это по-настоящему впечатляющее зрелище!
