 Будапешт называют «Жемчужиной Дуная». Город стал единым целым в 1873 году, когда Буда и Обуда, расположенные на правом берегу объединились с находящимся на противоположной стороне Пештом. Более старая часть Венгерской столицы - Буда, где находятся основные памятники архитектуры. Пешт - район более современный, известный своими магазинами. Мосты через Дунай по праву считаются одними из самых красивых в мире. Еще одной причиной, по которой Будапешт пользуется популярностью среди туристов, являются его термальные источники. Туристы обязательно посещают купальни Сечени. Многие отели Будапешта предлагают термальные спа. Среди главных достопримечательностей венгерской столицы - церковь Матьяша и Будайская крепость на Крепостной горе.
