 Женева - второй по величине город Швейцарии (его население около 185 тысяч человек) и крупнейший франкоязычный город страны. Город стоит на берегах Женевского озера - самого большого озера Западной Европы. Женева имеет древнюю историю. Старейшим и наиболее примечательным архитектурным памятником города является Собор Святого Петра, строительство которого началось еще в 1160 году. Сегодня Женева - один из самых зеленых городов Европы, имеющий более 20 парков. Культурный центр Женевы - Новая площадь, на которой стоят Гранд Театр и Музыкальная Консерватория. Еще одной достопримечательностью города являются цветочные часы в Английском саду. Диаметр их составляет 5 метров. Женева также известна тем, что здесь находятся штаб-квартиры ООН и Красного Креста.
