 Лиссабон - одна из старейших мировых столиц, пережившая не одну эпоху. Богатая история города отразилась в многообразии архитектурных памятников, дворцов монументов. Одним из красивейших мест Лиссабона можно считать Белемскую башню, построенную в стиле португальской готики и являющуюся частью монастыря Св. Иеронима. Среди других достопримечательностей - площадь с памятником маркизу де Помбалю, парк короля Эдуарда, живописные холмы Синтры и дворец Пена - летняя резиденция португальских королей. Старая часть города совершенно не напоминает современный мегаполис, здесь много небольших уютных отелей. Лиссабон вообще одна из самых тихих и спокойных столиц Европы.
