In the course of the year a varied cultural program is offered in Noerre Vosborg; for instance story-telling festival; chamber music festival; and the summer programme In the footsteps of Hans Christian Andersen. When driving down the gravel road to Noerre Vosborg; you will invariably notice the gateway tower. It dates from 1790 and the builder is said to have been inspired by St. Pauls Cathedral in London. At a closer look you will discover that the clock of the tower only has one hand and that there is no fourth figure on the face of the clock. In return there are two third figures; and according to the legend the explanation for this should be that the builder did not wish to emulate the Lord. Indeed; all of Noerre Vosborg is unique and has rightly been characterized as outstanding among the manors of West Jutland. The history of the manor goes more than 700 years back and the oldest of the present buildings have been erected in the mid-1500s. In the end of the 1900s the whole of the manor was in a state of decay but the trust Fonden Realdania bought the manor and started a thorough renovation. The hotel is situated in a new wing; in the farm buildings and in the annex Vosborglille; and here there are also conference facilities with room for up to 300 guests. The rooms have been furnished with Danish design furniture combined with modern Italian design. The two restaurants Kuskestuen and Borgstuen are located in one of the oldest wings. The menus are based on the modern Scandinavian cuisine and everything is made right from the start of the best - and preferably local - ingredients.
