Solden is easily reached from all directions. No matter whether you are driving to Solden choose to travel by train or are arriving in Austria by plane all important information on how to best travel to Solden have been listed for you below. Arrival to Solden by Car From the West Coming from Vorarlberg - Tyrol via the Arlberg Pass or through the Arlberg Tunnel. Drive towards Landeck - change onto the A 12 Autobahn - then take the exit Oetztal and drive on via the B 186 A Road 35 km to Solden. From the North Coming from Germany/Bad Tolz drive via the Achen Pass then continue on the B 181 A road towards Jenbach. From here drive on the A 12 Autobahn towards Innsbruck. Take the autobahn exit Oetztal. Then continue on the B 186 road its another 35km to Solden. From the East Coming from Munich or Salzburg - take the A 93 Autobahn to Kufstein - then continue on the A 12 Autobahn towards Innsbruck - reaching the Oetztal via the B 186 A road its another 35 km to Solden. From the South Coming from Merano/South Tirol - choose the Timmelsjoch Pass to Solden. Drive on the high Alpine road leading up to 2500 meters above sea level. The Timmelsjoch pass is open only from the beginning of June to the middle/end of October. starPlease note all toll roads require an autobahn vignette sticker which is available at petrol stations and tobacco shops in Austria. Arrival by Rail Enjoy a stress-free quick and simple rail journey. Check train availability and times via the Austrian National Rail services OEBB. Arrival by Plane The nearest airport is 85 km away in the Tyrolean capital of Innsbruck. Fly direct to Innsbruck and be picked up by the Oetztal shuttle.
