Dolbrodmaeth

Dolbrodmaeth is essentially a Country House Hotel affording 11 en-suite rooms. It was originally part of the grand Buckley Estate in Dinas Mawddwy. It is believed that the house was turned into an Inn to supplement income. In 1982 an unfortunate fire swept through the hotel and it would be nearly twenty years and an extensive refurbishment later that gives us what we see today. The building has a traditional stone and slate construction on the outside yet all the benefits of a high specification build and comforts of a modern interior. It has a cosy restaurant overlooking the river and gardens, Riverside bar and public bar/games room. Situated in four acres of gardens and grasslands with commanding and inspiring views all around. Set in 4 acres of mature gardens and grassland, rich in wildflowers and birds of all types, makes this an idyllic place to relax and be at peace with oneself. Dolbrodmaeth can offer a full menu, picnic meals, walkers packed lunches and take away service. We also have a kids menu available. The Dolbrodmaeth Hotel enjoys the exclusive fishing rights to a lengthy stretch of the River Dyfi with access directly from the hotel. Guests fish for free, cold storage is available and our chef will be more than happy to cook your catch should you desire.
