In addition to the famous ?French Quarter?, renowned for gourmet food and jazz, New Orleans is a great place to take in nature. Found at several places around town are the wonderful attractions of the Audubon Nature Institute. Two attractions well worth the time are the Aquarium of the Americas and the Audubon Zoo.

Visitors can also take a personal narrated tour in Honey Island Swamp, one of the least altered river swamps in the country, boasting nearly 70,000 acres of permanently protected swampland.
Those in the mood for more unique adventures should try out Musi??e Conti Historical Wax Museum, complete with a haunted dungeon and over 150 life-size wax statues, afterwards, venture over to the renowned Cities of the Dead.
