The estate is comprised of the fortress building and a tower, both skillfully and tastefully restored. Polished stone floors gleam in the bright, open interiors, blessed with abundant natural light. The decor is sleek yet comfortable, perfectly balancing the air of history and antiquity that permeates the property. The building is surrounded by a large, furnished terrace garden. Other amenities include a private swimming pool and a barbecue. Domestic help, for euro 12 per hour, is available on request. The nearby village of Monteggiori exudes old-world charm. Both the property and the village can only be reached via pedestrian lanes. Private parking is available for guests. As standard cars are prohibited after a certain point, guests have use of a small motor cart for transporting luggage from the private parking and the estate. A cleaning fee of euro 25 and a deposit of euro 1000 are required at check-in, to be paid in cash only. Hot water, heating and electricity charges are based upon usage and paid at the time of check-out. No after hours check-in is available.
