Hotel Avannaa

Hotel Avannaa is a new privately owned hotel opened in 2011. The hotel offers 22 double/twin rooms. All our rooms have own bath room, 32 TV, wireless internet access, kitchenette, and access to balcony directly from all rooms. The rooms are furnished in a simple relaxed style, decorated with local Greenlandic art. Hotel Avanna is located in a quiet area at the outskirt of the town with the most beautiful and stunning view to the Ice Fjord of Ilulissat and the Diskobay where the gigantic icebergs from one of the biggest and most active glacier in the world are flowed into the fjord. The view is constantly changing as the icebergs float towards the north. The area is so unique and been included on UNESCOs World Heritage List in 2004. The summer is short and intensive with the midnight sun shining from the 20th May until the 20th July. In winther the Northern lights are vissibe during October until the end of April.
