Free to the public, White River Park is where you will find the Indianapolis Zoo and Gardens plus an IMAX Theater. Northeast of town is Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park, a great place for hiking, biking and all sorts of outdoor activities. There are even horseback riding trails and horse rentals. If water-related recreation is more your pleasure, Eagle Creek Park is a superb spot. Here you will find boats to rent, fish to catch and beaches that are perfect for relaxation.
