Hotel Sofryd

Hotel Soefryd has 26 light and lovely rooms with shower- toilet- TV and wireless Internet and some of them with the possibility of putting up an extra bed. Besides a good bed the hotel offers a large breakfast buffet with different types of bread- dairy and corn products- marmalade- cold cuts- vegetables- fruits- coffee and tea plus morning papers. The location of the hotel is well suited for yachtsmen and there are also fine possibilities for canoe enthusiasts. Hotel Soefryd is a beautiful old seaside hotel which the owners have done their outmost to maintain and bring up-to-date so that today it is a pleasure to visit the hotel at Roskilde Fjord. The hotel is a delight to the eye but the best is the beautiful view over the fjord. This view will indeed impress you - no matter the season of the year or the time of the day. The wing with the light and beautiful rooms has been built into the slope down towards the fjord and thus has a unique location. In Denmark it is difficult to outrival the cosy little hotel filled with atmosphere. The owners also serve on the terrace towards the fjord where you can enjoy the beautiful sunset in the evening. For lunch you can for example have Soefryds own fried herrings breaded in rye flour and junket and wrapped in bacon and for dinner you can choose both traditional Danish courses such as fried eel and Hamburg steaks with onions. There are special events at Easter- Whitsuntid- Midsummer Eve and Martinmas Eve as well as in the game season and at Christmas. When staying at Hotel Soefryd you are close to the many sights and attractions of North Zealand e.g. the castle Frederiksborg Slot- the cathedral Roskilde Domkirke and the Viking ship museum. Copenhagen is absolutely within reach so that a stay in Hotel Soefryd can easily be combined with a visit to Tivoli- the National Museum or the Royal Theatre.
