Waldorf Hotel

After 65 years in business, the famous Waldorf Hotel in East Vancouver has been reimagined as a creative compound where contemporary art, music, food and culture convene under one roof. The complex, which is located 10 minutes from downtown, two blocks west of the bohemian Commercial Drive district, consists of renovated hotel rooms, the award-winning restaurant Nuba, and the world famous Tiki Bar, restored and retrofitted with a vintage analogue audiophile sound system. Downstairs is a live music venue, nightclub and multimedia event space. The hotel lobby features the Barbarella Hair Salon, a Souvenir Shop and one of the hotel rooms has been converted into an art gallery, Black and Yellow, which features new artists and curators each month. The second-floor hotel rooms range in size and layout -- each room has a perfect balance of modern, stylish comforts and a nostalgic nod to the original design of the hotel, which was built in 1947 and remade as a Tiki-themed event space in 1955. Newly renovated rooms are complete with flat-screen TVs, complimentary wireless internet and a special collection of in-room snacks and drinks available for purchase. All of our smoke-free rooms feature comfortable new beds and hypoallergenic, antibacterial pillows and duvets. Friday and Saturday nights are packed with arts and entertainment events and feature 24-hour concierge service to help guests get the most out of their stay at the Waldorf and in beautiful Vancouver. Please note the Waldorf is an arts and entertainment venue and there can be noise issues in some rooms until closing time at approximately 230am.
