Cavaliere Hotel

HISTORY: The original structure backs up to the '700 and was composed of the sole first flor divided in two rooms close to the Arno river. Some traces are still visible and the two big arches most probably delimited a 'Loggiato'. During the course of the years the structure has been restructured many times, especially after the last war by Cavaliere Malentacchi Orazio, to whom the hotel is dedicated, that completed the works. In 1966 a dramatic flood that hit Florence, caused big damage to the palace that was submerged by over two meters of water and mud; months of work were spent then in order to free it from mud and debries. Receptive structure from 1990 was transformed in Hotel in 1998-1999 and fully started its activity the 1st September 1999. TODAY: The 3 star Hotel inaugurated the 1st Septenber 1999, includes a small but elegant hall, and is managed by the Papini-Sassi Family that has fouded it. The Hotel has accesses and rooms for handicap bearers, elevator, bar and breakfast room. In the morning a delicious room for breakfast buffet becomes ideal in the afternoon for a Tea or in the evening for an aperitif. Ideal for businessman and travelers since all rooms have broadband WI-FI internet access. In-room service at request. Front desk open 24 hours.
