Montra Hotel Sabro Kro has 76 completely new rooms and 12 junior suites inaugurated in 2008. For centuries the two highways from Aarhus to Viborg and from Skanderborg to Randers have crossed right here in Sabro and it goes without saying that this crossing required an inn. The original royally licensed inn was called Urtebjerg Kro after the hilltop just north of Sabro that rises 79 meters above sea level. The present Montra Hotel Sabro Kro dates back to 1855 and the history of the inn is at the same time the history of a number of enterprising innkeepers. In 2008 a new era began in the history of the inn. Three new wings with rooms were built and in addition new meeting and banqueting rooms- a new and bigger restaurant- a wine cellar and a fitness room. Today Montra Hotel Sabro Kro has all the qualities of a classic Danish inn but at the same time it is a modern international hotel which appeals to both business travelers and holiday guests. The hotel has a modern cuisine which does not compromise and which builds on innovation of the Danish food traditions.
