Hotel Mailberger Hof

The 4 Star Mailberger Hofs history reaches back to the 14th century. Originally the house was composed of two gothic gable houses which in the 17th century were converted to a small baroque palace complete with horse stables; coach house and its own chapel while conserving its baroque appearance in 1976. Since the 15th century the house has been owned by the Order of the Knights of Malta the Hospitallers. The first residence of the Knights of Malta in Austria were Mailberg a small town near the Czech border. That is how the hotel was named Mailberger Hof. The entire building is classified a historical monument and is under a preservation order. The Mailberger Hof is a family run hotel in the heart of Vienna situated in a pedestrian zone just a 5 minute walk from the Opera house and St Stephans Cathedral. The private familiar atmosphere and the caring attention of the personnel make the Mailberger Hof the home to many business travelers and artists or vacationers. All rooms have a bathroom and WC; mini bar; desk; sitting area; safe; comfortable beds; hairdryer; partly air conditioned and self dialing telephone with Wlan connection for internet and Cable TV and radio. Our apartments are equipped with a living room; sleeping room for two people; kitchenette; bath and WC and enjoy a quiet location. The hotel does not have on site parking. Additional Information; There is no parking by the hotel as we are in a pedestrian zone. We recommend the parking garage nearby which costs approximately 24 EUR for 24 hours. The hotel does not have any on site food and beverage facilities but there are 40 restaurants around the hotel at your disposal. The property is closed for business during the year over the following dates. Beginning of August until the middle of August and over Christmas. Additional Information; Children age 11 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Children age 12 and over will be considered an adult
