The Eugenia Bangkok

The Eugenia* is embodied in a late 19-century colonial-style house in the heart of down town Bangkok with 12 guest rooms for travelers with refined taste and who seek to enjoy more than a touch of the Fabled East. It is an old world style architectural beauty / charmingly decorated and tastefully furnished / boasts a distinctive 3 story Neo-Victorian building conceived by its owner / Eugene / for those who seeks to enjoy more than a touch of the Fabled East-long symbolized by such gems as The Strand Hotel*Yangon / The Grand Angkor*Cambodia / The Eastern and Oriental*Penang / The Raffles hotel *Singapore / The Galle Face Hotel *Colombo or the Oriental Hotel*Bangkok without pledging their inheritance. Each of the 12-suites of The Eugenia is appointed with antique furniture and fittings. The four-posted beds*settees*dressers and desks in the suites are of various vintage as are light switches and light fittings // they bring you back perhaps eighty or a hundred years*or more. The period decoration even extends to the bathtubs that were made of hand-beaten copper and aluminum-alloy. The lobby*the reception area*the cafe*the library and the lounge are set on the ground floor while all the twelve guest rooms are located on the 2ND and 3rd floors in the main building. The swimming pool and the Thai sala are set in the rear courtyard // the entire pool area hark ens back to a more leisurely time where people of taste sipped tea or coffee and partook of the finest delectable fares under swaying palm trees on balmy sub-tropical evenings. As to be expected of such Noe-colonial structures*there is no elevator in the building to preserve its authenticity // we apologies to those who may miss this mode of conveyance but our staffs are on hand to assist with any luggage.
