The Pousada de Angra do Heroi??smo - Forte de Si??o Sebastii??o, is installed in a fortress of 16th century - known as well as "Castelinho de Si??o Sebastii??o" (Saint Sebastian's Little Castle) - constructed after the demand of King D. Sebastii??o, whose name was given to the castle in a supercillious place -the Pipas Port. The castle is surrounded by high walls, but some parts are nowadays in ruins. Eventhough, it still preserves its most characteristic elements. The Pousada is located in the village centre of Angra do Heroi??smo that, in 1983, was classified World Heritage by UNESCO.
