After class- we would come home to a soothing place- to our mothers warm- welcoming embrace- to the savoring of a good hearty meal- and the comfort of our own room. Sometimes- we would invite friends over- and then the house would magically transform into a hostel for the night. I remember those long evenings- the great gathering of guests at our dinner table- and the everlasting meals and conversations whereby we would reinvent the world. Each one of us had a dream. As the years went by- my mothers dream kept growing; that of reliving those special moments- of making an old house into a lovely little inn where she could welcome friends and guests alike.
