Grand Hotel Miramare Taormina

The 4 star Grand Hotel Miramare is located only 400 meters from the centre of Taormina and is just a short walk away from the Greek theatre and the cable-way to the beach. Built in 1922; the Patrician villa of the Lo Turco family was transformed into a hotel in 1926. There have been various conservation projects throughout the years; the last of which took place in 2007 in the form of extensive restoration work which maintained the antique charm of a residence out of another era and respected the style of both the villa and the furbishing of the rooms; while at the same time adding all the comforts required for an elegant and relaxing vacation; panoramic restaurant; bar; pool grill; swimming pool; tennis courts; internet point; etc. The hotels 68 rooms are quiet; bright and air-conditioned; all equipped with mini bar; direct dial telephone; hairdryers; Sat TV and pay per view. Most rooms also have a sea view balcony or windows. The main restaurant faces a large terrace overlooking the Messina Straight and it is the ideal place to try the typical flavours of Sicily. During the summer season it is also possible to have dinner on the panoramic terrace and; during the day; the grill bar by the swimming pool offers light meals and snacks in a relaxing atmosphere. The hotel also offers a summer shuttle service to beaches and there is a tennis court and ample car parking available at a charge. Additional Information; From 01 January 2012 a Tourist Tax will be charged which is not included in the total room price and which must be paid at the hotel. Children age 2 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Children age 3-11 receive a 50pct reduction when sharing with two adults in a double room or a junior suite. Children over this age will be considered an adult. The hotel reserves the right to without prior notification cancel any reservation with an invalid or incomplete credit card number.
