The centre's arts and craft bazaar and traditional textile market is the best place in Accra, to find traditional handicrafts from all over Ghana. You have to be prepared to bargain hard here, as starting prices are usually inflated.

This is the venue for many national celebrations. The Independence Arch and the Memorial to the unknown soldier dominate. It is an open place where ceremonies are held.
La-Pleasure Beach
This is a popular beach and very busy during weekends and holidays. It is located on the Labadi road South of Accra. Expect to pay an entrance fee.

How to get:
Exit the hotel and the dual carriage road of the Liberation road. Turn left immediately after the traffic light and join the Burma Camp/giffard road which is a through/main road. Drive straigt till you pass the Trade Fair Centre, continue to the end of the road and turn left at a t-junction to join the Labadi road. Drive about 4km on a dual carriage raod to join a through/main road. drive another 3 km and you will find the Independence sq ahead of you.
